This comprehensive course in mantra is from a practical point of view which included methods for solving problems that we encounter in life (prosperity/abundance issues, relationship matters, health and emotional issues and difficulties and job-related challenges). Other categories in the program included eating issues (overeating and undereating), deeply embedded habits (drug and alcohol abuse and smoking) and sexual abuse.
“Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant” and a “Yoga and Ayurvedic Wellness Consultant” with the American Institute of Vedic Sciences. The institute focuses on Ayurveda, Yoga-Vedanta, Vedic astrology, and their interconnections. It provides examinations of Veda and Tantra along with the background system of Hinduism or ‘Sanatana Dharma’. It emphasizes bringing together the greater Yoga tradition in an integral manner with regard to its Vedic origins. It holds a special regard for the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, Kavyakantha Ganapati Muni, and Sri Aurobindo.
As a yoga teacher, your ability to support your students’ healing process requires two things: an understanding of yoga therapeutics and inner wisdom. Knowing the therapeutic applications of yoga gives you the technical knowledge of how to use asana for healing. The deepening of your inner wisdom, by opening the heart chakra, allows you to apply the knowledge so it affects the deepest healing in the student.

Completed Stott Pilates Intensive-Plus and Advanced Matwork courses. The Stott Pilates method has exercises designed to restore the natural curves of the spine and rebalance the muscles around the joints. The exercises focus on the following five basic principles: breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, scapular movement and stabilization, head and cervical spine placement. Assists students to learn neutral body alignment and proper breathing techniques. These principles provide a tension-free and safe position so that all exercises work effectively.
Food and Nutrition Management; graduated with Honours. Studies included Human Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Infection Control & Safety, Health Care Communications, Food Preparation Labs, Food Service Management, Nutrition Application. Graduates have nutrition knowledge and skills to plan menus and instruct Individuals who are concerned about eating for health and skills that can be applied in health care (hospital, nursing homes and community health).
Currently has taught 36 years in the fitness industry (land and water) and is certified as a Group Exercise Specialty Leader with Mind/Body Designation, Older Adult, Aquatic Exercise and completed training in Joint Works/Water Works. Dedicated to the promotion of physical activity, active living and the dynamics of the wellness concept (physical, emotional, social, mental and spiritual health) by offering a holistic approach to fitness.
